A Weekend Retreat + Training for Yoga Teachers February 2026 | Golden Hill Retreat Center | Cold Spring, TX
As yoga teachers, wellness facilitators, and fitness instructors, we spend so much time holding space for others. But who holds space for us?
This retreat is your invitation to refill your cup, reconnect with your practice, and return to your teaching with renewed energy, intention, and skill. Join us for a weekend that blends continuing education, deep rest, connection, and joy—created specifically for those who lead and guide others.
What to Expect
Friday–Sunday at the beautiful Golden Hill Retreat Center on Lake Livingston in Cold Spring, Texas. Arrive Friday after 3:00 PM, depart Sunday at 11:00 AM.
This retreat includes:
4 yoga classes of varying styles (vinyasa, restorative, creative movement)
A 2-hour hands-on assists workshop (earn 10 CEU hours through Yoga Alliance)
All meals included (dietary accommodations available)
Lodging on-site at the peaceful Golden Hill property
Access to healing services and natural spaces for reflection and rest

Meet Your Guides: Melody & Darcy
Together, we bring over 25 years of combined experience teaching yoga, leading retreats, and training teachers across the country.
Darcy is certified in Rocket, Sculpt, Restorative, Forrest, and Power Yoga and brings a grounded, empowering presence to every room. She teaches anatomy-informed movement and hands-on assists with clarity and confidence.
Melody is a 500-Hour E-RYT, prenatal and children’s yoga specialist, and lead teacher trainer with experience developing and leading YTT programs and continuing education courses. Her intuitive teaching style helps students feel deeply seen and supported.
We believe strongly in safe, respectful, and empowering hands-on assists—and we can’t wait to help you refine your approach with practical guidance and heart-centered technique.
The Space: Golden Hill Retreat Center
Golden Hill is a secluded sanctuary nestled in the woods of East Texas. Overlooking Lake Livingston, the retreat center includes cozy lodging, beautiful shared spaces, walking trails, and on-site healing services such as massage, reiki, and sound baths (available at an additional cost).
This space invites you to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your purpose.

FAQ
Do I have to be a yoga teacher to attend? This retreat is designed for yoga teachers, fitness instructors, and wellness facilitators. If you’re teaching in any capacity, this is for you.
What if I’m newer to teaching?Perfect! This retreat will support you as you build your confidence and clarity as an instructor.
Can I get a private room?Yes. We have both single and double occupancy rooms available in addition to the bunk-style communal lodging.
What styles of yoga will be taught?A mix of vinyasa, gentle flow, restorative, and more—offered with accessibility and options for all bodies and energy levels.
Are accommodations shared?Yes, unless you choose a private option. We love the community that forms in shared spaces, but we also understand the need for quiet and privacy.
Nourishment & Meals
Golden Hill provides nourishing, home-cooked meals with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs can all be accommodated with advance notice.
Why This Matters
As teachers, we give so much of ourselves. But in order to show up fully for others, we have to first be filled ourselves. This retreat is a space for you—to rest, to learn, to laugh, and to realign with your purpose and passion.
When you leave, we hope you feel not only recharged, but ready to return to your students and clients with more presence, depth, and inspiration.
